Summary: Norway Pattern as per poll.

I'm so excited about Norway, he came out so cute~! He has a little cape (though I neglected to take a pic, sorry) and a hat THAT ACTUALLY LOOKS NICE. Came out SO much better than Hungary's hat! @w@ Wasn't to sure about where to put his curl...thing though. From the sketches on the blog, it looked like it went down and to the back. :/

I'd hug him if it wouldn't crush him flat~!

The pattern!
Notes~
1) The hair curl goes about 3/4ths of the way down the back seam. Feel free to place it elsewhere if you like it better though.
2) For the cape thing, it's easiest to glue the front on (The top of the open space lines up on the top fold), then fold it over and glue on the top, and then leave the back free.
3) The hat. Er. Still doesn't fit perfectly, though better than Hungary's. Glue it wherever you can get both the front and back tabs to stick on.
4) Make sure that cape is glued down nice. Mine wasn't, and it made getting the head to stick to the body really hard. Same thing with the hat. DO NOT FEAR THE GLUE. D:

Another of the now completed Scandinavia~
As always, I just edit these from にーび. Originals here: http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=31539
On another note, I've seen a couple of times on the comm requests for help with making patterns/putting together these doll patterns. W-Would a tutorial of sorts for either option be helpful to you guys? Or just a list of tricks I use? Or no, it's all pretty self explanatory and no one really needs one?
[EDIT] Just realized that I am dumb and posted the wrong version of Norway's hat. It's fixed now.

Russia and Liet are in the original patterns by にーび at http://www.pixiv.net/member.php?id=3153
There's also under the crafts tag someone who upped them at photobucket I think.

GAH! So cute!!! His face!! I love his face!!
And his curly!
(btw: I just finished Sweden's coat. I'm just waiting for some glue to dry and deciding if I want to add that little line along the lapels :/ )

Now all that I need is real
(not a 1 week vacation but with a bunch of assignments and presentations to be done for the following weeks >_>)free time to make them (or re-make SuFin, since I've done them but with different patterns).April 13 2009, 02:15:25 UTC 3 years ago
(Those suck don't they?)April 13 2009, 02:11:43 UTC 3 years ago
And that was a little hard to me at first but I think it's pretty easy to fold them. Anyway a few pics or clues could be great for beginners like me :D

It's what I'm leaning towards doing I think. Like after 30 or so of them, I think I've found a good way to get the heads nice and sturdy so they don't collapse when you try to attach it to the body.

Btw, I looked through your archives but I couldn't find Iceland's pattern. Can you share it if you don't mind?
April 13 2009, 11:11:19 UTC 3 years ago
Iceland isn't a pattern of mine. It's over here http://community.livejournal.com/hetali

But I have a question, what type of paper did you use to make them? Just regular computer paper?
April 14 2009, 11:25:57 UTC 3 years ago
The paper is just what I have in my printer. I think it's regular old printer paper.
