[Fancomic] and [Fanart] Why does it look like France?

Yet another follow up to my previous Guy Fawkes Night comic (<--- linkie; though.... it's not really important to have read it, you should still understand what's going on without reading it).
A few people commented about the fact that the Guy Fawkes doll in the comic looked like France and wondered why. I decided to address the issue with interpretive dance - uh... a fanart and a fancomic , even.
So, why does it look like Francis?... Pick your answer! :-

1)

Burn the doll! You know it's true!

Evil Iggy is always fun to draw XD I didn't bother trying to mimic 'pencil' in Painter this time, I got lazy and just drew it in Photoshop straight off the bat. I hope that hasn't ruined the effect too much.

I put the France doll back in his original outfit rather than putting it in the Guy Fawkes outfit, so that it still made sense to anyone who hadn't read the prior comic. But for the record, Iggy's home made France Fawkes effigy is completely customisable =D You wanted to see it in the French Maid costume, did't you? Tsk, tsk! Not gonna happen!

Similarly, although I use the word voodoo here in this comic, I'm really only choosing that word so that anyone who sees this without reading the other comic first will still get a punchline of sorts. (Gah, i hope I'm making sense!)


2)If you're more of a softy at heart, or you support FrUK, perhaps you'd prefer the idea that Iggy made the doll look like France out of secret admiration? Something for the lonely island country to hug in that big, cold, empty bed? T^T



Weird oak headboard is weird <_<. Drawing the spitfires was fun =3. But the temption to give plushie France a perverted expression in this pic was almost too much to bear!


The truth is that Guy Fawkes has long, wavy, dark hair and a sort of goatie ... beard...thing. I don't know my beards types, okay? Anyway, so when I sketched out the initial doll without shading, it fluked looking like France because of the wavy hair and stubble line things. I noticed the similarity, and decided not to shade the hair because quite liked the idea of Iggy making his Guy Fawkes effigy look like France. But that still begs the question, was it because he wanted to laugh manically as the France!Fawkes doll burned on the bonfire, or did he just want to make a doll of France to hug and keep him company, and bring him with him to the show?
