So this thought totally struck me in the shower this morning, while I was still half asleep, and I would like opinions from the masses.
Logic would dictate
(and this could be the biggest flaw in the whole thing, applying logic) that North and South Korea were originally 1 entity. When they split, you get N Korea and S Korea. Right? Right. So my brain was wondering why S Korea is the only character in the whole shebang with a spirit/soul in his ahoge. Do we know for a fact that it is his soul?
Could it be possible that the spirit is actually North Korea? Due to how cut off/oppressed North Korea is from the rest of the world, perhaps his physical body died or is in a puppet-like state somewhere, and his soul tried to reunite with its other half. But since N and S Korea are still separate, they could not merge back into 1 entity again. Thus N Korea residing with, but outside of, S Korea's body.
And if this is all true, would he lie about it to the other nations? Who might figure it out on their own?
If that was confusing, I apologize. I might have confused myself. :-P
Thoughts? Has anyone come up with an explanation like this before? Any particular headcanons you may have formed on North and South Korea?
